The group will be ably facilitated by Clare Watson and she will have Fiona Halliday, a local Practice Nurse, to be her right hand woman!

2019 - New Group in Glasgow
We are delighted to welcome the Dennistoun Cheyne Gang to our growing family. This group meets on Wednesday afternoons at 2pm in Dennistoun New Parish Church, 9 Armadale Street, Glasgow G31 2UU.
This group was set up by one of the Cheyne Gang Voice Coach trainees, Sophie Boyd. Sophie has been working with the group as part of her PhD and we couldn't be more proud of her achievements with this fantastic, lively, funny group. She is ably assisted by Janice Merrick, a local General Practice Nurse, Deborah Hamilton, a local link worker for Health and Social Care and Irene who is a Medical Receptionist at the local practice.
Pauline and Anne recently visited and were made very welcome - they had never seen so many cakes and biscuits so it was just as well Sophie gave them a workout whilst they were there!

THE CHEYNE GANG QUILT
This beautiful quilt is currently hanging in the Colinton Mains Parish Church Hall. Our plan is to move it around the various venues used by the CG every three or four months, before finding a final display space for it – suggestions for this final place are very welcome. Thanks to everyone involved in producing it, especially Irene Watson who finished it off so beautifully.

2017
What a great year this has been for the Cheyne Gang!
The Team put together a comprehensive course to train singing teachers and musicians to work with people with respiratory illnesses. We trained eleven singers from all over Scotland. They are all hoping to start groups in their own localities. The course was very successful and we now have two new team members. Caro Overy is about to start a group in the Day Hospital at St Columba's Hospice. In the Borders Julie Harvey will be starting a group in the Tweed Valley in January. Information about Caro and Julie can be found on the Team page.

We are so grateful to the National Lottery Awards for All who awarded us £10000 in early December. This will enable us to develop the Oxgangs group and start up a brand new group in Leith in early 2018.

Our fundraiser Christmas Craft Fair was a great success. We raised a fantastic £1600 and this amount was very kindly matched by Wood MacKenzie, an Edinburgh based Consultancy firm. We can't thank them enough.

The Hayward Sanderson Trust in Galasheils awarded us £500 as a start up for the Borders group. A great big thank you to them!

We would like to thank all of you for your interest, support, love, and, of course, your SINGING!!
The Chorus Award
The Cheyne Gang were nominated for, and won, an award for access to singing. We have had the official photoshoot and we will post the photos in the gallery when we get them. Watch this space for more news on this.
