Collaborations
Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland
We are delighted to be collaborating with Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS), realising a long term dream of The Cheyne Gang: to bring ‘Sing to Breathe’ groups to people living with long-term breathing conditions across Scotland.
The Cheyne Gang delivers rehabilitative singing groups in Edinburgh, Glasgow and the Scottish Borders, offering a lifeline to people with a respiratory disease living. Our partnership with CHSS - launched on the 1st of July 2025 (World Bronchiectasis Day) – will enable us to develop services right across Scotland. The first ‘Sing to Breathe’ groups in our collaboration are now up and running; they are located in West Lothian (Livingston) and the Highlands (Inverness).
Jane-Claire Judson, Chief Executive of Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland, said: “Collaborating with The Cheyne Gang means that we can support even more people living with long-term respiratory conditions to take part in activities that benefit their physical and mental wellbeing. At CHSS we are committed to supporting as many people as possible living with chest, heart and stroke conditions and Long Covid to live life to the full.”
This collaboration marks a significant step forward in supporting people with long-term breathlessness, in areas of significant need across the country.
