Home Exercises: Week 70

Hello Cheyne Gang! This week Caro has filmed 3 videos for you - a nice summery sing-along and a 2 part brain gym exercise to keep you on your toes! To finish up, Anne & Pauline have chosen a couple of songs for you to enjoy.

Summertime

A seasonal singalong of the Jazz standard by George Gershwin, with enjoyment of the full, long notes to be encouraged!

Lyrics:

Summertime and the living is easy

Fish are jumpin' and the cotton is high

Your Daddy's rich and your Mama's good-lookin'

So hush little baby, don't you cry

One of these mornings, you're gonna rise up singing

You're gonna spread your wings and take to the sky

But until that morning, there's nothing can harm you

With Daddy and Mummy standing by

(Repeat first verse)

My Hat It Has 3 Corners - Part 1

A bit of brain gym with actions to this traditional song:

My hat it has three corners

Three corners has my hat

And had it not three corners

It would not be my hat

My Hat It Has 3 Corners - Part 2

Ramping up the brain gym elements to miss out some words along with the actions - just for fun!

And finally, a few songs selected by Anne and Pauline.

“Freedom Come All Ye” performed by Karine Polwart in The Italian Chapel, Orkney August 2013

Anne has chosen 'Freedom Come Ye All' - an appropraite track to mark our new found freedom from the worst restrictions.

Billy Ocean - Red Light Spells Danger (Top Of The Pops 1977)

Pauline has chosen 'Red Light Spells Danger' - a track that she loves dancing around to!
